Anyway you could send a link to a page that has this issue with it?
It is the other Pinterest widget as you suspected. The pinterest icon showing is not the stock one included with OSD SMS. If you want me to see if there is a work around, I am happy to. Just let me know what the other widget (plugin) is.
It appears that the Pinterest javascript that is injected by the other plugin is replacing the OSD image. I investigated a few work arounds, however the Pinterest javascript is getting triggered by the link within the image, so even a text button gets replaced. I have a co-worker that is out of town that I can run this by, but it will be a week from now. I am sorry there was not a quick fix for this issue.
Ok no worries, please do let me know if you figure it out!
Of course! He should be back tuesday.
anoushka.probyn,
Sorry for the late reply,
I have done some further testing and we have found out that Pinterest’s official javascript for sharing hijacks any link with the URL “http://www.pinterest.com/pin/create/button/” and adds its own image and styling to it (which is awful).
I have a solution to fix it, but it’s very “hackish.” I am going to work through some scenarios and try to figure out the best solution. I will get back to you soon.
anoushka.probyn,
We have fixed the issue and released an update. Pinterest’s official script should no longer affect OSD Social Media Sharing. Please let us know if you have any more issues.
Thanks so much for all your help!, it’s working now! 🙂
No problem, thank you for reporting the issue. Good ratings appreciated!
