Picture overlapping / Changing a specific picture

When I upload pictures it doubles up on the sides when in the display on the front page of my site. I tried resizing outside of word press and then changing the aspect ratios inside of wordpress, but nothing seems to work.

Also:

I have an about me with a bio and a picture. This was set up by the guy who created my site. I’d like to change that picture, but I can’t find it because it’s not in any of my categories like the rest of the images on my page.

I’m very limited with my knowledge of wordpress and appreciate any help.
