Picklists not working in Chrome browser

Is there a trick to making the picklists work in Google Chrome? I have followed the instructions on https://wordpress.org/plugins/salesforce-wordpress-to-lead/#faq, trying with and without the bar, but to no avail. The picklists work fine in Firefox, but in Chrome while you can see the dropdown arrow, it will only show the first value and not allow you to select others.
