PHP shortcode only works if activated in settings

    Hi, I’m using the PHP shortcode to place the search bar in a specific location in my theme. However, it only works if I activate it in Settings, but I don’t want the default search box showing above the knowledge base. Is there any way, aside from using “display:none” to remove the default search box? Thanks!
