• greetings.
i recently migrated from one server to another. i followed all of Podz’s guides for backing up databases and migrating them. everything went smooth.

however, i had Kiwi with Canvas as installed theme. i noticed Podz occassionally said ‘probably a broken theme, reinstall it’ so i did that. but i still get this error in the sidebar of Kiwicanvas theme:

Warning: canvas_include_block(): Unable to access /home/nick/public_html/normalblog/wp-content/themes/kiwicanvas/blocks/searchform.php in /home/virtual/site99/fst/var/www/html/normalblog/wp-content/plugins/Canvas/canvas-core.php on line 90

i get this error 24 times, for various blocks that i had installed.

now, i’m still getting this error although i shouldn’t be! i completely reinstalled WP, upgrading to 2.0.4 in the process, and completely reinstalled Kiwi with Canvas, using the newest version 1.1.4, so this error, which calls for blocks from the OLD database, means that the error must somehow be tied to the MySQL database.

line 90 of canvas-core.php just says something like ‘include filename’, so i don’t know what to do. should i attempt to ‘clean’ up my database tables? do i risk breaking them further? is this an obvious problem to solve? any help is appreciated.

    cheers
    Nick

  • Have you tried contacting the developers of Canvas? Are you sure it’s compatible with 2.0.4?

well i had it running smoothly on 2.0.3, so i wouldn’t think 2.0.4 to be the problem.

i reckon it’s more in how my databases were moved. i’ve posted over at the Kiwi forums, but don’t think my error is very specific; i can’t find any real trace of it elsewhere on the nets.

i fear i’m going to have to repost everything, which isn’t that bad. i only had 30 or so posts, and now i’m with a new host for the long haul.

the only other thing i could think of was that it might be a PHP incompatibility problem. don’t know.

    cheers
