PHP 8.5 Deprecation warnings

    After upgrading to PHP 8.5, we’re getting the following deprecation warnings:

    PHP Deprecated:  Non-canonical cast (double) is deprecated, use the (float) cast instead in /{PATH}/wp-content/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfConfig.php on line 2096

    PHP Deprecated:  Non-canonical cast (binary) is deprecated, use the (string) cast instead in /{PATH}/plugins/wordfence/lib/wfMD5BloomFilter.php on line 79

    I realize these don’t affect functionality, but they fill up our error logs – a fix would be appreciated!

    Hi @afwebdev, thanks for reaching out about this.

    We already support PHP 8.5, but there are a few deprecation notices such as these to address. They are already scheduled for an upcoming version of Wordfence, so should stop appearing naturally once the updates roll out.
