    Hello,
The featured images in my articles are based on a container. Unfortunately, the photos are not displayed in Google Images along with the article. I would also like to allow readers to download the photo by, for example, right-clicking and selecting ‘Save as’. Unfortunately, this is not possible. Is there any other way to enable this when featured photos are embedded in a container?

    Hi @ywokxa,

If your featured images are added inside a container, they may not be indexed by Google Images or downloadable by right-clicking if they’re set as background images or have overlays. To ensure Google can index your images and users can download them, use the Image widget to display your featured image directly (not as a background or with overlays). This way, the image is part of the page’s HTML and can be right-clicked and saved.

For more details, check our guide on the Featured Image Widget.

    Kind regards,

Hey, thank you for your reply. Are you sure there is no other way or CSS code that would allow this? I cannot get the same look for a single post. When using the featured image widget, it is not possible to overlay the post title on it. There is also a problem with the resolution of the photos.

    Kind regards,

    Hi there,

Thank you for contacting us again.

I’m afraid that there is no way to do it with our current Elementor features when your image is set as background inside elemenetor container.

However, I have added this idea to our internal list as a Feature Request, so this feature might appear in one of the future Elementor updates. Thank you for your feedback!

There might be third-party plugins available that have such a feature so you can join our Elementor Facebook Group and check with our users there for such a plugin recommendation.

Finally, I would like to apologize for not being able to provide this particular solution at the moment. I hope for your understanding.

If you have any questions, don’t hesitate to contact us again by opening a new ticket.

I wish you all the best, and have a great day!
