phone field is not working

    Hi there! I just built a form for a site, and then tested it by entering my personal information. Everything worked except the phone number. I got a message saying it was in International format and that to change it, I should change it in MailChimp…so I did that. However, it still does not work. I have updated everything. The field just shows a blank, but when I enter my phone number, it gets outlined in red and it gives me an error message. Also, when I go back and forth between MailChimp and Easy Forms, it seems to add more and more things -(###)###-#### –and then it duplicates that. However, the field itself that is visible on the site does not give anyone guidance as to what form a phone number should take. I have just been typing my number: 888-888-8888 in that form (that’s not my actual number, of course)

    Our goal is to work on bugs and push out an update next week.

    Thanks, Tracy! Will I get notice of the updated plug-in or will it be incorporated automatically.

    The other issue we are having is that the “Submit” box is covering up the checkboxes right above it on my friend’s laptop. The display is fine on mine and on my phone. Is there something I can do to fix this? Thank you again!

    International phone numbers start with + then a country code, area code and local number.

    The + represents the code needed to get onto the international circuit. The country code is a few digits for the destination (1=USA, 33=France). Spaces and punctuation are often used but not always understood by software.

    These international formats are typically in common public use and should be accepted in web forms:
    +1.3142358168 <- AT&T Services in USA
    +1-907-272-7411 <- Hilton in Alaska, USA
    +44 20 7022 6620 <- The Times in London, UK
    +35315360818 <- The Times in Ireland
    +91 44 3988 4545 <- British Telecom Global Communications in India

    Hi Jenny,

    I looked into the submit button issue, and I can’t reproduce it. I tried looking at the form on all browser widths and I can’t get the submit button to cover the checkboxes.

    As for the telephone field fix, it’ll be in the next update and you’ll get a notification on the Dashboard when the plugin needs to be updated.
