I have removed the word “archives” from everywhere I found it in the plugin settings, however it still persists (products archives, etc). I had to disable the Yoast SEO plugin for other troubleshooting and noticed that it immediately was removed on deactivation and comes back when activated.

  • Can you please check what the SEO Title is set to for the product archives under SEO>Search Appearance>Archives? This setting is the template for the title of product archives. This should not have the word ‘Archive’ in it by default but if it were modified it could be causing the issue.

I don’t have a section called product archives. Just author, date, and special pages. There is a “product” section in Search Appearance-> Content. I think there used to be the word “archives” in these titles but I erased them ages ago.

We apologize for the inconvenience. It seems to be the same issue as the one reported here and here.

We suggest commenting on the GH report with any additional information so you may be kept aware of updates. You may need an account to be able to comment.

Closed. Please follow the GH link to know the status of the issue.

You’re allowed to mark issues here as resolved when they’re not? That’s messed up.
