perpage plugin for ver 2.0??

Hi everyone,
i’m wondering if the plugin perpage.phps has been developed for wp 2.0 -> as well.
I need something that manages different number of posts depending on which page is displayed. basically i want just one post on the home page( via admin panel), but more than one into search.php.

Maybe ther’s some part of perpage.php to modify to fix it for wp 2.0??
