Permissions MESS!

    I just locked myself out of my client’s site by playing around with permissions. I set the root directory on the server to 777 using Dreamweaver and watched as wp-admin and wp-contents files disappeared from the screen before my eyes (remote view). Now I can’t get into any part of his site including viewing the front end. How do I undo this? I don’t host this site, do I need to go through the hosting co?

    You need to set all of the folders back to 755 and all the files to 644 using your FTP client or whatever file management application your host provides.
