Permission issues
-
Hallo,
First of all, thank you for this amazing plug-in, it makes tables so easy!
Second, I’ve been having some troubles with my website after a bad plugin install and lost permission for some of my plugins. I got all of them back with simply reinstalling the plugs, but not tablepress.
I think the problem is simular to this thread, but there is no direct awnser in there
http://wordpress.org/support/topic/tablepress-disappears-on-site-migration?replies=6Also I can’t see the plugin in my dashboard and it gives me the message I don’t have the permissions when I try to acces it through a direct link. Hope you can help me.
Kind regards

Hi,
thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.
The reason for this is probably that the capabilities (user access rights) somehow got messed up. To fix this, I recommend to use the “Role Manager” component of the “Members” plugin from http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/members/
With that, you can restore the capabilities. Here’s a list of capabilities that “Authors”, “Editors”, and “Administrators” get:
tablepress_edit_tables tablepress_delete_tables tablepress_list_tables tablepress_add_tables tablepress_copy_tables tablepress_import_tables tablepress_export_tables tablepress_access_options_screen tablepress_access_about_screenAdditionally, only “Administrators” get
tablepress_import_tables_wptr tablepress_edit_optionsIf that does not work, please send me an email, with information to a temporary admin account, and I’ll gladly take a direct look. (My address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”.)

TobiasHi Tobias,
