Permalinks ugly and messed up.

I’m stumped. My gallery permalinks currently look like this: http://www.reactiongifs.com/wp-contentgalleries/yes/
I want them to look like this:
http://www.reactiongifs.com/galleries/yes/ (I think at one point they were like this because that is how google has them indexed). I must have messed up some settings or something. Interestingly, the old link http://www.reactiongifs.com/galleries/yes/ now redirects to the ugly link. Can anybody help me get the cleaner paths? Thanks!
