Hi,
Thank you for investigating this and for identifying the root cause. We have reproduced the issue, confirmed your findings, and have already reported it internally. We agree that this is a critical issue, and we will work on a patch as soon as possible.
In the meantime, there is a workaround you can use:
- Delete
bmi-autologin.php from the your-staging-path/mu-plugins directory.
- Do not use the Enter Button feature in our plugin to autologin to the staging site.
- Whenever you need to access the staging site, log in manually by visiting:
https://your-domain/your-staging-name/wp-login.php
Using the manual login page prevents the bmi-autologin.php script from being loaded, so the permalink structure will not be overwritten.
We appreciate you taking the time to track this down and report it. We’ll keep you updated once the fix is available.

Hi,
We’ve addressed the issue. You can install the patched version using the link below:
https://drive.google.com/file/d/1EsKgXJ1UbQ7IWSsnPB1D_yF1qXDCtaQ4/view?usp=sharing
Before installing the patched version, please ensure that the bmi-autologin.php MU plugin has been deleted from the affected staging site.
Once the patched version is installed, you can use the Auto Login feature again from the Create a staging site tab in our plugin.

Hi Nick
Wow! That was impressively quick, and highly appreciated.

Hi,
Thank you for your kind words! We’re glad we were able to get a fix to you quickly.
The patch will be included in our next official release. At the moment, we’re planning to publish that release by the end of this week or at the beginning of next week, assuming everything goes as planned.
Thank you again for reporting the issue and helping us identify the root cause. Your investigation was greatly appreciated.
