• I keep having this issue. I go to change the permalink structure on a site and when I click the link the page is blank. Sometimes totally blank, sometimes I have the dashboard side panel but nothing that I can do on the page to update the permalink structure. Since this is happening on several of my sites I wondered if it has to do with my hosting account. They have a cpanel with FAntasico. I just had a client set up hosting with this same company (they have great support, and customer service) and we set up her account and right away I couldn’t update the structure of her permalinks.

    Thanks for any insights.

  • Have you tried:

    – checking through Troubleshooting WordPress 3.1 – Master List

    – deactivating all plugins to see if this resolves the problem. If this works, re-activate the plugins one by one until you find the problematic plugin(s).

    – switching to the Twenty Ten theme to rule out any theme-specific problems.

resetting the plugins folder by FTP or PhpMyAdmin. Sometimes, an apparently inactive plugin can still cause problems.

    – re-uploading the wp-admin and wp-includes folders from a fresh download of WordPress.

    – increasing the memory available to PHP:

I did try this. Deactivate the theme and plugins. I actually from the point of wordpress install could not access the permalink structure via the dashboard menu. That’s why I wondered if it has something to do with the installation via fantasico. I don’t remember having this problem with simple scripts installs. I only have all in one seo, and contact form 7 and hello dolly on this site.

Thanks for the links to troubleshooting. I will continue to workon.
