Permalink setting change breaks other pages

Hi There,

I noticed that when I change my permalink settings to use the different options other than default setting, all of the other pages for my blog doesn’t show up nicely as the main index page. When using the default permalink setting, all the pages work fine.

I figured a way to fix it is to make everything such as the stylesheets and extra images i included in my layout to use absolute paths. But is there a way to solve this so I wouldn’t need to use absolute paths?
