Persistent “background updates not working” error
-
Hello all,
I’m just getting back into WordPress after a long break. The site health check is new. It persists in returning the ‘critical issue’ message below, even when everything is up to date, I have NO plugins installed and only have the twenty twenty theme installed. I’m hosted by Gandi.net who assure me this is nothing to do with any update schedules of theirs and that Worpdress updates automatically.
Surely the twenty twenty theme would not have the type of issues mentioned here: https://www.worcesterwebstudio.com/list-of-fixes-for-wordpress-site-health-status/
I’m at my wits’ end as I really need to get going with creating content on my site but I’m afraid of wasting my time if there is a critical issue that I have to sort out later.
Can anyone help please?
Here is the error message I get:
” 1 critical issue
