Subscription moves to on hold status on an event of payment failure. Kindly ensure that the payment gateway/plugin you are using supports recurring payments.
Please let us know which plugin you are using and also mention if the first payment has any issues or only for recurring payments.

We looked up for plugins with the name “Payment with PayPal Checkout” but did not find any.
You may please try with the plugins in below links. We have several customers using our plugin with them without any issues.

I did not put individual plug-ins for payment. Together with “WooCommerce” I installed “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Gateway” and “WooCommerce Stripe Gateway”.

I seem to have managed to identify the error. In the log file I see:
[L_LONGMESSAGE0] => There’s an error with this transaction. Please enter an address1 in the shipping address.
[L_LONGMESSAGE1] => There’s an error with this transaction. Please enter a city in the shipping address.

Currently, the standard WooCommerce PayPal is not 100% compatible with our plugin. Please check with the above-mentioned plugins.
Let us know if any issues with it.
