I’m trying to set per-event timezones but every timezone abbreviation (CDT/ETC, etc) shows the default WordPress timezone (configured in General Settings) regardless of how each event post is selected.

For example, WordPress default is set to Chicago. The individual event is set to New York timezone, but the event shows 3-6pm CDT rather than 3-6pm EDT.

Followed the setup here: https://theeventscalendar.com/knowledgebase/working-with-timezones/ and have selected “Use local timezones for each event”.

Any help would be fantastic.

Oh weird! Sorry for the trouble here!

Just to rule out any doubt, would you be willing to follow the steps outlined in this article? This will allow us to determine if there is a problem in our plugin or a conflict with the theme or other installed plugins.

Let’s start there and see what we find!
