Pen Theme Masonry view can’t get ad between posts

    I’m trying to get ads to show between posts that appear in a 4 column Masonry view on the home page. I’m using the Pen theme.
    If I set the content as ‘Home Page’ and the Insertion point to ‘Between Posts’, it appears behind the posts much like a background.
    At the moment I’m just testing with a large image.
    I am new to this plugin but have read docs and have tried several things but no luck. I’m obviously missing something here.

    remote debugging doesn’t seem to be enabled:

    Server-side insertion Between posts depends on where your theme calls the_post hook:
    https://adinserter.pro/faq/how-ad-inserter-works#automatic-insertion

    However, I don’t believe it is possible to insert anything into such layout which uses Javascript code for display, without breaking the layout.

    I would suggest contacting theme authors for instructions on how to insert there (if they support it) and then I can help you with Ad Inserter settings.

    Hi Spacetime
    As I’m not a strong programmer I find this a little difficult to follow. However, I hope I’ve done the necessary.
    I’m first trying to get this to work on a category page so have checked ‘Category pages’.
    I’ve enabled remote debugging.
    Using Block 1 only, named TestAd.
    The position ‘Between posts’ is available in the theme and I have selected ‘Between posts’ as the Insertion point and entered 2 for after every 2nd post.

    The code is just –
    <div></div>

    Alignment is ‘Center’

    Under the ‘Manual’ tab ‘Widget’ is selected.
    Under ‘Misc’ tab Ajax Requests is checked and Insert for All users.

    I’m waiting for a reply from theme developer.

    As expained, you can only insert server-side where the theme calls hooks, but this doesn’t make sense with such layout managed by Javascript code.
    Without a strong support from the theme you can’t insert “between posts”.

    However, you can insert before or after the excerpt of each post.

    Once you get a reply from the theme authors and need help with the settings, simply reply to this thread.
