I tried uninstalling the plugin and reinstalling and I still do not see the place for the API key when I add the block.

I had to restore my site to a previous version before the plugin updated.

Can you please try to set PDF api key on Settings -> Pdf Embed page?

The block with the form field for the API key (like it appears on your demo) is missing after update. There is no place to put the API key within the block other than global settings for the page.

I had to reinstate version 0.58 to make my pdfs appear.

I just tried installing the updated plugin on another wordpress site. The box for the API key on the newly created page shows correctly.

I also noticed this message in the dashboard:

So, apparently the issue is with updating from previous versions of your plugin, not the updated plugin.

Can you confirm that you see the new setting page on left menu under Settings -> Pdf Embed menu?

Probably I must add a settings reset on update or clarify that there is a new settings page for global settings.

    Thanks for reporting

Yes, on the new site that I just tested, I see the new setting page on left menu Settings  -> Pdf Embed

I just uninstalled .60 version and installed the .58 version and updated it. The new setting page does not show on the left menu under Settings -> Pdf Embed

Can you check if you see “Settings” link on plugins page under Pdf Embed listing?

    Thread Starter TrishaLombardi

    (@trishalombardi)

No there is not a settings link

    (@trishalombardi)

I take that back. I cleared all caches and now after updating the plugin, there is a settings link on the plugins page and I see the new setting page on left menu Settings  -> Pdf Embed

The site I was having the issue on is on a different server. I might be able to clear the server cache after update to see if it works.

I won’t be able to do that until tomorrow when they are not using the embedded pdfs.

    So I experiemented on http://jackberckemeyer.com/elements

This is the website where the pdfs were not showing after the plugin updated.

Today, I updated the plugin, cleared cache and it still didn’t work when I created a new page.

I had to reset my Pdf Embed settings (API key disappeared) but then on the new page the box for the API showed. I entered my API key and then the pdf displayed again.

I had to redo my Pdf Embed settings to the options I wanted.

Pdf Settings did show  on the left menu under Settings -> Pdf Embed

But settings link is also on the plugins page.

I did not get this notice after updating (in my dashboard)
