• Hi Guys,

    I have been using your PDF invoices for a while but suddenly (not sure if after an update or not) the pdf invoices just bring a blank screen and if I turn on debug mode it shows:

    =============
    Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 134217728 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 30720 bytes) in /home/printbymagic/5O80L1JY/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/woocommerce-pdf-invoices-packing-slips/lib/dompdf/include/text_renderer.cls.php on line 58
    =============

    I have memory set to 128mb in htaccess and was working before so not sure why it’s not working any more.

    If you could perhaps let me know what the problems might be that would be great.

    Many thanks
    All the best
    Anthony

    Hello Anthony,
    There have not been any significant changes lately that affect the memory usage of the plugin, and usually 128M is more than enough. Are you getting this error on single PDF creation or on bulk export?

    Two things you could try:

    • If you’re using a PNG image for the header logo, try using JPG instead – on some servers this makes a huge different in memory usage (JPG doesn’t need any further processing to be included)
    • Run the P3 Profiler plugin to see which plugins take the most memory

    If that doesn’t help, then I’m afraid the only other suggestion is to increase PHP memory – some plugins and or/themes just use a lot of memory (even when not necessarily doing anything).

    Let me know if that helps!

    Hi Ewout…

    I have found that it is not the memory but a plugin I recently upgraded which was Revolution Slider to the latest version 3.

    When I disable this plugin yours works perfectly again!

    What would you suggest I do as a lot of people use revolution slider etc.

    It also makes the other woocommerce pdf invoice system not work as I tried that too but not sure what to do next as I have now upgraded with no older version of Revolution and like the features of the new one!

    Please advise next steps.

    Many thanks

    I have no idea how RS3 could break the plugin – I don’t have a copy of this plugin to test this out myself. Since you mention it also breaks other PDF Invoice plugins, I suggest to contact the plugin devs about this.

    Let me know if it requires any action from my side!

    Hello Ewout,

    I can also confirm, got the same error (Fatal error: Allowed memory…)
    and if I deactivate Revolution Slider 5.0.9 it works.

    The problem is I need both 🙂

    Hi Iangster,
    Can you send us a copy of Revolution Slider at support@wpovernight.com so I can take a look at what causes this? Thanks!

    Hi Ewout,

    I have come across this post as a result of the plugin doing the same thing to me and displaying just a blank page. I also have Revolution Slider and when I deactivate it the PDF invoices work again.

    Any update with this issue?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Jade,
    I have been sent a copy of Revolution Slider, but unfortunately I was not able to reproduce the issue, which makes it nearly impossible to fix it :o(.

    I recommend to contact ThemePunch directly (info@themepunch.com) and ask them about this, because it looks like they are loading things that are consuming a lot of memory when it’s not using it at all.

    I’m sorry I can’t help you with this issue right now!
