• Hello,

I’ve been using my WordPress blog for awhile now, and I’ve had this problem since I started. I need to use SWF (flash) files on my posts a lot, so I use the plugin pb-embedflash. However I noticed that whenever I view my posts it says

(Either JavaScript is not active or you are using an old version of Adobe Flash Player. Please install the newest Flash Player.)

You can see the post here (the SWF is near the bottom). I’m using Firefox, and using another (Apple) computer it works on Safari but not on Firefox.

Does it work for you? Any help?

  • If it says JS/Flash is not active/up2date, trust it ;).

The text is nothing else than a message inside the <object>-Tag. If the Browser cannot (dis)play the flash, install/update the flash player for that browser.

But… I do have the latest version of Flash Player…

As of it seems to work on your site with different computers/browser, but not with your Firefox (but mine), I would say it’s not a plugin issue.

Does your Firefox play YouTube files and any other embedded flash? MAybe you’ve put your site to the block list of NoScript or a similar browser plugin.
