    Hi.

I’ve been trying to enable Guest Checkout so people can pay with a credit card, without having an actual PayPal account.

But even though I have the Guest Account Mode enabled in my Business paypal account, the checkout form keeps asking for creating a paypal account… (I tried clicking on both Visa and Mastercard buttons – it’s the same outcome).

How can I have guest checkout enabled?

Thank you very much in advance!

By the way: I haven’t added a credit card to my PayPal yet. Could that be the dealbreaker?

    Hi there,

PayPal controls the options on whether or not a user can checkout as a guest. Here’s a support article where they outline the guidelines for both the user as well as the business account: https://www.paypal.com/us/smarthelp/article/how-do-i-accept-credit-cards-with-express-checkout-using-the-guest-checkout-option-ts1623

So they still haven’t improved this:
    About Guest Checkout
Buyers don’t always have the option to complete their purchases without using or creating a PayPal account. This option is presented based on several risk factors, including but not limited to the buyer’s PayPal purchase history, PayPal cookies stored on the buyer’s computer, the buyer’s location, or a credit assessment.

It’s not a matter of not improving the functionality, it’s that the form is variable based on the buyer and their inherent risk. PayPal can provide more information if needed. As this issue is unrelated to WooCommerce directly, we’ll go ahead and close this thread at this time.
