  • If you are a first time WooCommerce user, I suggest you start without “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway” or Jetpack or anything else. A theme + the core WooCommerce plugin is enough to get going and make sales. The core WooCommerce plugin has a built-in PayPal gateway.

Run with it for a while. When you get the hang of it, if you want, you can add additonal features. “WooCommerce PayPal Checkout Payment Gateway” for example will allow you to put a pay button on the product page.

Is this feature is a core WooCommerce fetaures od do I need to install anything else?

    Thanks a lot

If you see no options in the settings, it’s possible that this is caused by a conflict with code in a custom theme or with another active plugin on the site — having multiple plugins with the same functionality (such as Paypal) could be why.

You can read more about plugin and theme conflicts here:
    https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/woocommerce-self-service-guide/

If you’re not familiar with WooCommerce yet, you might want to use the basic payment methods first (including the built-in Paypal method) before you install any additional Paypal plugins.

Ok thanks I’ll try on a fresh website, but, please, is this plugin (https://docs.woocommerce.com/document/paypal-express-checkout/) the good one to install to have the modern paypal checkout?
    Thanks ^^

Suggest trying the PayPal gpayment gateway that is built-in to the core WooCommerce plugin first. Understand all the settings and get it working with PayPal sandbox brfore going live.

For less demanding shops that may be all you need. Later, if you wish, look at other PayPal plugins for extra functionality.
