Payment confirmation emails not being sent

While trying to test the stripe payment feature I found that payment confirmation emails are not being sent after a succesful purchase. I understand that the email should be sent to whichever email includes the your-email tag, but I am using [email your-email] and nothing is being sent. Is there a different way I should format this field?
