    Hi.

    I have recently taken over a website which uses The Events Calendar plugin, and we are getting a lot of 404 errors for events which have been and gone. I’m new to the plugin, so I wanted to ask if this is default behaviour or if it is likely to have been programmatically developed when making the site.

    Any help would be appreciated.

    Thanks for reaching out. Let me help you with this one.

    Please refer to our knowledgebase article for ways on how to fix 404 errors.

    If that doesn’t help, you could try to re-publish your events or edit the date and just revert it afterward, and see if that resolves the issue.

    In addition, please provide the version of the following. This will help me understand how your system is set up.

    • PHP
    • WordPress
    • The Events Calendar
    • Theme

    Thanks for your reply.

    The issue is only with previous events which have been and gone in regards to the end date, and not the upcoming events. All upcoming events show fine.

    PHP – 7.4.33
    WordPress – 6.2
    The Events Calendar – 6.0.12
    Theme – Alecaddd WordPress Starter Theme

    Thanks for providing additional details. Could you confirm if the event still exists from your admin dashboard?

    If the events are deleted from the dashboard, please check if the trash and delete settings are disabled from Events > Settings > General.
