    Hi Greg,

I hope you can help me please? I have the Authors add-on installed and am using Better Notifications for sending emails.

My first problem is that the Password Reset is using the default WordPress functionality. For example….when someone forgets their password and clicks on the ‘Lost Your Password’ link on the sign in page, the link brings the user to the default WordPress lost password page. Is there any way this can be modified at all?

Also, once a reset email has been sent to the user and they follow the link, their password is reset but then they are given the option to login to the wp-admin page.

    Any advice? Thanks!

    Hi,
the Authors extension does not have a password reset functionality it uses the default WP password reset.

If you would like to have some custom page with the reset password then you can use some third party plugin to do that, for example https://wordpress.org/plugins/frontend-reset-password/, i tested it with WPAdverts and Authors extension and seem to work great.

    Hi Greg,

Thanks for that! I installed it and set it up and it seems to be working great.

I’m working through all the other forms on the site and the only one that i haven’t sorted out yet is the ‘Send Message’ one on the Advert pages. Can you tell me how and where this can be edited?

    Thanks again.

    Hi,
the contact form on Ad details pages you can customize either using the Custom Fields extension.

Just go to wp-admin / Classifieds / Custom Fields / Add New panel in “Form Type” select “Contact” fill other fields and click “Create a new form” and the customize the form.

One other way to customize it is to use the adverts_form_load filter although this requires some custom programming.
