Password Protection Problem

Hi, I have been running my site with no problems. I have password protected galleries on my site which still function as they should however, yesterday I uploaded a new gallery (with all the same settings as the rest) and password protected it but it goes straight into the page without asking for the password.

I tried password protecting a practice page to see if it was gallery related and the same thing happens – It says the page is password protected but doesn’t call for the password when I access the page.

Any ideas? My client is becoming frustrated at my ineptitude. But I’m doing everything the same as before.
