    We have events and classes that are open only to approved students. I have assigned a password to the products, and give that to the students who are allowed to purchase it. Roughly 90% have no issue; however about 10% upon entering the password either nothing happens or they receive an unauthorized access error. This is happening more and more. I would greatly appreciate any help. I have deleted the htaccess file and recreated it, hoping that would help, (it has not), this happens across all OS & iOS and on all browsers.

    Hi @kdrwhat 👋

    Firstly, could you please please specify how you are adding passwords to your products? Are you using a plugin for this?

    Additionally, could you please share a copy of your site’s System Status? You can find it via WooCommerce > Status. Select “Get system report” and then “Copy for support”.  Once you’ve done that, paste it here in your response.

    Dear Gabriel,

    Thank you for replying. No, I’m not using a plugin – I just add the password to the product in Woocommerce under ‘visibility’ password protected, which is why I can’t find any source of help since Woocommerce denied my support ticket.

    Hey there!

    It looks like you’re using a couple security type plugins. Those could very likely be interfering with this here.

    *iQ Block Country: by Pascal – 1.2.11
    *Wordfence Security: by Wordfence – 7.5.4

    You can likely see if they have logs of what the plugin does (so you can see if they are declining your students).

    The other option would be user error; the students are just typing in the password wrong.

    Thank you very much, I’ll look into the security logs. The students assure me they’re entering things correctly, as that’s the first thing I ask, but of course I have no real way of knowing other than that.
    The odd thing is, as I said about 90% have no issues and since I can’t duplicate the error, I’ve been at a loss. Thank you again for offering a place to start to look.

    Thank you, I did check all the security logs. Nothing is there regarding the students who are unable to access the product that is password protected.

    Also, since they are able to access the non-password protected products, I would think if it were a security issue, they would not be able to do so.

    Well, that’s strange. I would recommend disabling both security plugins and asking one of your students who is having this issue to try again just to confirm that those plugins aren’t causing the issue.

    Sorry for the delayed reply here! Are you still having issues?

    If you’re able to gather more information from the students who do have problems logging in, that might point to a certain pattern. Without a reliable way of reproducing the issue, however, it’s difficult to point you towards a next step.
