• Hi all,

I have recently had this problem appear on my wordrepss site. I can no long access my pages that area password protected and I can no long access my site via a member login section that is in place via a plugin. I have the wp-login.php?action=postpass in my URL.

It does seem to be a rather common problem and I have researched about changing the wp-pass.php to wp-login.php?action=postpass.

Now the problem that I have is that I can not even access my admin and dashboard areas of my wordpress page so this will need to be done via my web host.

So what I would like to find out is can anyone tell me where in my webhost that I would be able to change this file. I have been looking for some time now but simply have not been able to find this.

My website is hosted through bluehost.

Any help in regards to this issue would be greatly appreciated.

    Cheers.

  • Did you ask your host about it? Is it something related to this:

    Hi Krishna,

I have contacted my host currently awaiting reply.

As I have not logged onto my site for a few days this is the first time that I have noticed the issue.

So based on a brief read of some of that info if there is wide attack on brute forcing and I am unable to access it at the moment then there is not too much that I will be able to do about it for now ?

Yes, everything depends on your host – I feel.

Well this is not an ideal situation as currently I can not access any member parts of my website or access the dashboard at all.

How long do these normally last and is it likely that I will regain access to my site at some stage ?

I have just ramped up the security on my other wordpress sites but unfortunately this particular site is one that I really do need access to.
