can you share a link to a test page and the password so I can check it myself?

I have exactly the same issue. I’ve test the plugin on local and remote server; tested the shortcode in post and custom post type. But the password protected feature is not working.
It’s a pity because otherwise, the plugin is really perfect for what I need: a password protected download feature.
    Please help

What shortcode are you using? Can you share a link to the page where you have the shortcode?

Hi! Thanks for your quick respond.

I’ve tried both fancy and non fancy shortcode but nothing…
I’ve tried with Firefox and Chrome (with and without addblock), but nothing…

you can check it on my staging server:
    http://cloudcultures.com/alenio/test-post/
that’s with the shortcode added to a default WP post.
first try on the page: password: 123
second try on the page: password: alenio

Thanks in advance for your help.

I really need to implement your plugin for that project and have the password protected feature working. No other plugin is doing the job as yours…

I have tested this on my site and that feature works for sure.

I just checked your site and it looks like you have a javascript error coming from a lightbox plugin (I think the pretty photo library).

You need to fix that error or deactivate that plugin (so the error is no longer there on your site) then this plugin will work fine.

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction.
That was a javascript error in my child theme. I’ve deregister a script (pretty photo) from the parent theme, but there was still a call to that script in a custom js file.

Now that I’ve took care of the javascript error, the plugin is working as expected.

Great! Problem solved; issue can be close.

The plugin was great.. am check in the add new, there is no password protection settings are not shown in admin… In plugin description i saw emember protection like shown, that will not available in the admin.. how to rectify this issue.. kindly advise me asap

I am having a password protection issue as well but am using Mantra as a theme and do not have any of the other scripts listed in the forum above. the site is: http://texas-al-anon.org/members/texaswest/pipeline/ and the password I’m trying to enter for the January 2015 Pipeline download (that is listed correctly on the page) is marcia.

When I make the file public, it opens in the browser without any issue, but I am specifically wanting to use this plug-in to protect some anonymous information made only available to our members. Any assistance you can provide is greatly appreciated!
