Password Protect a Category Template

    Hi All,

    I have one category that I would like to password protect. Yes, I know that I can password protect a post. However, what I want to do is password protect the entire category. The template is set-up and working category-1.php.

    I have tried placing .htaccess in the theme folder and in the main folder, but this does not work.

    Does anyone have a suggestion?

    You can NOT pw-protect “templates”, sorry.

    And WP doesn’t have the feature to pw-protect a category.

    See if any of the Plugins from the Restriction section helps.
