Pass search parameters in URL?

Is there a way to pass search parameters for the tables created with TablePress in the URL?

Example is that we have a bunch of data in the tables and one of the values are the states. We want to have a link from another page that goes to this page with the tables but only shows all the data for Texas.

Hi,

thanks for your question, and sorry for the trouble.

The TablePress Extension from https://tablepress.org/extensions/shortcode-filter-get-parameter/ can be helpful for that.
You could then also combine this with another Extension to make it use the JavaScript-based search instead of the Row Filter Extension, see https://wordpress.org/support/topic/linking-and-filtering-a-table-press-table-from-my-header/#post-4636421

Hi, Tobias —

I’m trying to do the same thing as OP. I have these plugins installed and activated on my WordPress 4.9 site:
- TablePress v1.8.1
- TablePress Extension: Row Filtering v1.0
- TablePress Extension: Shortcode Filter from GET parameter v1.0
But when I go to this URL:

https://juiced.gs/index/?table_filter=spectrum

… the table isn’t filtered by the word “spectrum”. Of the 1,019 rows in that table, 31 have that word. How do I get this filter to work as intended?

Hi Ken,

did you also follow the instructions from https://tablepress.org/extensions/shortcode-filter-get-parameter/ and change the Shortcode on that page to [table_filter ...?
