• Hi I have a woo Commerce site and I am wondering if the settings I have set up for partial search are correct… for example if I search blouse I get results because some of the product s have that word in the product name however if I search “blouses” I get no results – I have Keyword matching set to “partial words” – screenshot of my settings https://snipboard.io/3gXw4o.jpg

Also here is a screenshot of my index settings

The partial matching doesn’t work like that. “Blouse” is a part of “blouses”, that’s why that matches. “Blouses” isn’t a part of “blouse”, so no results.

There are a couple of things you can do:

    • You can make sure every post that has the word “blouse” also has the word “blouses”; you can add a custom field with user-invisible extra keywords, for example.
    • You can make “blouses” a synonym of “blouse”.
    • Relevanssi Premium comes with a simple English suffix stripper that makes every search for “blouses” a search for “blouse”.
    • Relevanssi Premium also has an add-on Snowball stemmer plugin, which does proper stemming.
