“parse error:syntax error…line 285” in Word Press 2.1.3

I recently upgraded to 2.1.3.

When I hit “manage” from the dashboard, I am taken to a white page with the following message: Parse error: syntax error, unexpected $end in /home/.amber/marginrelease/marginnotes.net/wp-admin/edit.php on line 285

I run into a similar message, at least mentioning the same “line 285,” after I follow an “approve comment” link from a notification email and press “yes” on the “you’re about to… sure you want to?” page.

Everything works — the approved comment shows up anyway and I can find other ways to get to the “manage” page or at any rate do my “managing,” but does anyone have any ideas how to fix this?
