Parse error:syntax error

I have used a Word Press website for my bakery for the last three months, but have suddenly been unable to view it or login to my admin page today. When I got to http://www.acornbakery.com a message reading:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘/’in/home/ the acorn/public_html/wp_settings.php on line 126
I haven’t touched the website for about two weeks and have no idea what this all means or why this has happened, but I need to figure it out so that my business doesn’t suffer. I hate that there is no one I can call about this from WordPress… Does anyone out there know what I should do from here? I struggled to get my website up on my own and have no idea where to even begin to fix this issue.
