i know this is a common thread but it honestly wasn’t clear to me…

i just added a new theme to my fully functional site and got this message:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected T_CONST in /home2/jamieg/public_html/godgirlsclub.tv/wp-content/themes/ebony.1.0.1/inc/functions/freshizer.php on line 26

i thought the PHP thing needed to be at 5 but apparently my domain and where my name serves are are both PHP5.

my domain is hosted at domain.com
    and my nameserves hostgator
    the theme is http://themeforest.net/item/ebony-wp-responsive-retina-theme/4639808

theme issue? domain issue? hostgator issue?

i do not use a FTP thing like cyberduck i just use wordpress. it works great i have many other full functional sites (jamiegrace.com, godgirlsclub.com, kingdomcity.org, station516.com)

    thanks!

i’ve also checked with both hostgator and domain.com and they both say they install with PHP5 so i guess that’s not the issue?

i’m completely kicked out of my website now and can’t do anything. please help. thanks!

also, i just went and change my host gator account to PHP 4 just to check.

    i got this:

Your server is running PHP version 4.4.9 but WordPress 3.6 requires at least 5.2.4.

so i at least know that much
