• Hi,

Trying to make a page, with a child page. Created/published page My Stuff, then created/published page I like These as a child of the parent page. The problem is, the child is not showing at all. Using Twenty 10 theme, tho have tried several others with the same effect.

Not an expert at this so any help will be appreciated…

What do you mean by not showing? Not showing at its URL? Not showing on the menu?

    Hi,

If you look at – https://askbobm.com/, you will see the parent page – MyStuff. The child page – I-like-these/ does not show at all, let alone under the parent page.

You only see the child when using _ https://askbobm.com/my-stuff/i-like-these/

Of interest, I use BitNami to do a practice site (localhost), using the same theme, etc. There everything works as it should.

The child will not show up on the menu unless you explicitly add it.

Are you expecting it to “show up” someplace else?

When I created the child page I marked it as being the ‘child’ of parent ‘mystuff’ and clicked publish.

Should I have done something differently? It’s the same way I did the practice site where everything worked perfectly.

IF you want it on the menu, you either need to add it to the menu or set the menu option to “automatically add new pages”. Both done under appearance->menu.

Done! That worked, tho don’t understand why I didn’t do that on the test yet it worked..

    ‘Thank You’ for your help.
