Parameters redirect

I’m trying to create the following redirect pattern:

http://alpha.com/folder/john?foo=bar -> http://beta.com

But no matter Parameters Forwarding is activated or not user will be redirected to http://alpha.com/

Why this is happening? Can you help, please?
