    Hi,
    Yes, currently the pagination behavior is like that.
    BTW, there’s an option under common options called ‘jump to album area’ which will automatically take the user to the album area when clicked on a link within an album/gallery. Try that. It’s turned off by default since it causes conflict with some ‘smooth scroll’ scripts.

    Thanks… I didn’t even see that customize option. Looks like it does conflict with my theme. I am using DIVI (which is pretty popular). I’ve tried with smooth scrolling enabled and not enabled and jump doesn’t work (in fact the link doesn’t work).

    I guess the work around is to not use pagination
