• Okay so I am not 100% which is the best way to do this or how to go about this but here it goes.

First off I am using a customized version of Tora 1.08 theme on my wordpress blog.

Okay so I have been creating some outside content for website that I wanted to upload via FTP totally separate from this blog (thought they are about the same content) I created all the HTML/CSS for these pages. Now I decided you know what why bother paying for 2 websites if I can make them one.

So I want to use the pages option on wordpress (Example replace the contact us basic page on the navigation bar) to add these HTML pages I created to my site. So I want to upload these html pages via FTP through blue host my web host.

    Now my question is this…

Can I set up a way to make it so that when you click on one of my pages in the wordpress navigation bar it will link to a link out side of wordpress (It would be the URL of my uploaded content via blue host FTP.

    if not

Can I make this HTML content become one of these pages I can create on wordpress (For example replace the contact us page?)

I am new to wordpress so I am not sure if this can be done. Any help would be great, even a totally new option is needed.

    Thanks!

Why are you creating external HTML pages at all? What are you trying to accomplish?

I built a database for a video game website. I built a lot of stuff using Javascript and such. I built this all before I even made a wordpress. So rather then buy another domain for my old project I want to just add it on to my current domain.

You could put it in a sub-domain and keep things physically separate, but use links in the WP menu to go over there. So, mydomain.com is the WP site and gamedb.mydomain.com is the sub-domain. That might be easier with wp in /public-html and gamedb in /public-gamedb (or something like that). I think that would be easier than shoe-horning your HTML and JS into existing WordPress pages.

I suppose that could be possible. I am changing the wordpress blog to go hand in hand with this new database.

So I could make this sub domain and then I could turn one of these options on the nav bar in wordpress to link to this sub domain page?

So far everything is going well except that I can’t seem to add a link to my header for these subdomain pages.

The way the header is set up for this theme I can’t seem to find a way to add anything except by creating a brand new page through WordPress. Any idea on how to add this?

Every time I try it just doesn’t end up in the header. Now I don’t really know PHP so that’s sort of a problem because I can’t really understand all the header code.
