Pages with script are now broken

    In the past, scripts could be inserted into Custom html inside body directly. Now it doesn’t work anymore.

    If I put the script in the script section at the bottom, the script content only appears at the bottom of the post, not inside the body.

    Wordpress 5.2.4

    What scripts are you trying to insert? And what editor are you using? (Gutenberg, Classic Editor, etc.)

    It was a script that plays video from my ad network.

    I tried 1) Gutenberg Custom HTML block, and 2) Classic block edit as HTML. Neither one works.

    When you wrote that this worked “in the past”, was that pre-Gutenberg? If so, have you tried the Classic Editor?

    I converted to about Gutenberg 4-5 months ago.

    Everything still worked like 5 days ago. The major change since then was that I updated to 5.2.4. Not sure if it’s coincidence.

    Hmm. Have you tried the Gutenberg plugin? It’s more current than what’s in WordPress core.
