Pages publish instead as posts?

I only switched to the Gateway theme recently, and am wondering what’s going on.

I am trying to add a new page, but every time I click “publish,” it publishes as a blog post instead. I can’t figure it out. I keep going to Pages: Add, and filling it in, including the child attributes.

Here’s my website. I am trying to create a new child page to go under “Teaching”: amycooper.net

Here’s the post that keeps being created when I try to create a page: The Body: Social Science Perspectives.

Any ideas?
