Pages, posts and menu

    I have 3 pages, 1 post and 1 menu on my new 2012 website. The problem is I can’t organise the post on the menu. I have the menu set up 1,2,3. I can’t seem to access the blog to place it on the menu or even to enter a title. If you click on the second menu item “Help With Handwriting”, instead of the page I have written about handwriting, you see my post. Could you please tell me how to organise my menu so that the pages correspond to their headings and so that I can incorporate the blog under an appropriate heading. Thanks.

    Make sure you followed this guide for setting up a static page.

    Thank you but I still don’t understand what I am doing wrong. I have deleted the blog. Now the Help With Handwriting page says “no posts to display” on the site. On the dashboard under pages, the pages that entitled “Help with Handwriting” appears as I created it, that is with information about handwriting.

    Looks like you are on the right track. Under pages you can edit the page to put in the appropriate content. I think you might just copy and paste the content from help with handwriting to the childworks page.

    Go to add a new post and add something. That will show up on the blog page.

    Ha. You are changing things while I am looking.

    Make sure you do this.
    Go to Administration > Settings > Reading panel.
    Set Front page displays to a static page
    In the drop down menu for Front Page select “Home.”
    In the drop down menu for Posts page select “Blog” or the name you created.
    Save changes.

    Sadly, it is too late for me. Did you know that here in the US they are not going to teach cursive any longer?

    No, I guess I will be out of a job pretty soon then. Not really I do have other areas of practice.
