Pages give 404 error

    I am getting an error when I try to view a new page I just set up. It looks fine in my Dashboard/Admin area. You can see the error by going to http://www.handmade-sterling-jewelry.com and clicking the “About” link at the top next to “Home”.

    I did look through a number of posts and it seems the problem is with my permalinks/htaccess file. The problem is, I am afraid to do anything to the htaccess file because I don’t want to mess anything else up.

    Can anyone walk me through this? I would really appreciate it!!
