Pages duplication by “itself”

    Hi, a customer of ours had a problem this morning with their e-commerce running WooCommerce + WordPress 4.7

    Almost every page had been duplicated 5-15 times the list was endless. What can have caused this issue and how do we solve it? I solved it by manually checking what pages was a duplicate (the slug gave it aways) and removed all duplicates. The issue havent spread to other post types like blog posts, products or comments.

    It;s possible that there might have been a database issue at the hosts’ end & they inadvertently replicated posts during their database repair/restoration, Have you asked them about this?

    Why are you using an old copy of WordPress? Were you aware that your site is currently running a very real risk of being hacked? You need to upgrade WordPress asap.
