Page Splitting/Mechanics

i dont understand why it is so hard to split pages full of posts. im not a fan of having one long page that scrolls down forever, i just want to split one page into several other pages with a few stories on each one. i have had several regular free websites that can do more things, much simpler, than this blog site. and if they can do it, i KNOW this site can do it, its just a matter of the website owner implementing it. i dont know anything about code, and when i see that i have to insert code somewhere im instantly confused and dont understand it. its not that im dumb, because im far from it. i just wanted a simple blog, and just want to do a simple thing; split one page into several without having to enter code i dont understand. so how do i do this?
