Hi, I’m getting a critical 500 error on https://www.h2xengineering.com/page-sitemap.xml. All other sitemaps load fine, the issue is specific to the pages sitemap.

    Environment:

    • Yoast SEO version: 27.8
    • WordPress version: 7.0
    • Hosting: Cloudways
    • PHP memory limit: 256MB

    What I’ve tried:

    • Deactivating plugins like Post Views Counter, YARPP, and Search & Filter Pro, but the issue still persisted.

Do you know what this issue could be? Is it a memory issue on my server? Any help appreciated.

    Thanks

    Hey @danaldinho

We can confirm that your page sitemap is throwing an HTTP 500 error.

Can you try increasing the PHP memory limit to 512MB? Sometimes this can be a memory issue. You can refer to the KB guide here for more info.

Server errors (like 500) are usually described in more detail in the server error log. If you have access to your server error log, generate the error again, note the date and time, then immediately check your server error log for any errors that occurred during that time period.

If you don’t have access to your server error log, please ask your hosting provider to look for you. They’ll be able to provide the relevant details and investigate why the server is returning a 500 error.

Thank you, I just increased it and it’s working again. Thanks again!
