Page order question and generic theme

    Hi there, I’m new to blog creation, and hope you guys can help me get thru my newbieness. (I searched but couldn’t find my specific questions.)

    1. Does my blog page have to be the entry page for my WP site? If NOT how can I change it? How can I create a menu page?

    2. I have my own art that I want to scan and use as header, footer and sides of my pages. Also, I’d like to create my own Menu and Nav Bar using my artwork. Is there a software I need for this? Is there a plain generic theme somewhere that I can use as the foundation to create my own theme? I’m new to HTML and CSS but I’m not afraid to learn.

    Look in yr admin and spend time seeing what does what. You can create a static page and optionally if u wish set that as yr home page. Check all yr settings.

    You don’t need any fancy software. Site graphics are normally called by yr style.css file.
